Creating Nationwide Public Awareness and the Power of Volunteerism

For our country is changing, the challenge is within ourselves on how to make our life worth living in inexpensive way. The high technology offers a lot of convenience. We can barely its propagation. The scientist indeed measured the angle of perfection. On the contrary, no matter how fast paced the place were leaving, it is still a work of art that we cannot all have.

The public service is a taught of life. Every single moment we can see it within ourselves. Heralding the power of volunteerism. Thus, the Filipinos were pond of helping each other, building dreams and hope together after the storm. To lessen the burden that has been dominated. We surpassed every trial by not doing it alone but with the help of one another.

Volunteerism is a freely assumed moral obligation. We help one another because we feel a sense of satisfaction in fulfilling a moral compulsion to do so. Our hearts were jumping and at the same time, enhancing the moral texture of our communities, the social fabric of our societies. Caring and sharing are a necessity not a charitable act.

So what makes a volunteer a hero, he does not wear costumes just to impress the people. He neither not hides himself. He is just a normal person, who serves as a light to others in his own simple yet, significant act of kindness. The willingness to help without a price of recognition. The value of being aware to another's need and to do something about it.

Thus to extend an extra-mile, to give a helping open arms and a lending ears will nourish the public awareness into our country. We fully recognized that the government plays an important role into the development of our society. They act as modifiers, but we have the most important role. We are responsible for our actions. They were just the implementers. Hand in hand together if we do not cooperate in full force we might fall.

A good paradigm of volunteerism is by spreading the virus of charitable act to at least lessen the poverty. We can all see this through Gawad Kalinga which means to give care, an alternative solution to the blatant problem of poverty. GK is a growing multi-sectoral partnership and it continually seeks local and international partners to promote the spirit of neighborhood among us. Those colorful built houses signify hope that uplifts the dreary atmosphere.

So why not extend that arms of ours and reach out those in need.
No one said that it would be that hard.
