Days of Gloom

Are you in favor in class suspension? I bet you know what I mean. There were times, which we almost jump for joy for classes were suspended. Hooray! No more assignments that would ruin our weekend. It must be fun. Aside from fixed holidays, classes are suspended when there is a typhoon. With its weather so wet and gloomy, we would rather stay away, be safe in the comfort of our homes, and let the bitter rain patter endlessly through the window.

There are students whose hearts are overflowing with indescribable joy engrave to their faces. However, the scenario like that I believed is a disaster. You may say that I’ am killjoy, I would say yes for this reason. Nevertheless, I used to enjoy it too, but not until I realized its serious setbacks.

But as we try to look at it seriously, amidst the joy were experiencing, there are people who would crave for help because, their houses are at stake. Their crops are damage. How could they live? How could they eat? Above all else, how can they survive from the nature’s guilt?

For the classes to be suspended is somehow unproductive. Our economy is down because of its low development. It’s not bad to wished for class to be suspended, to have time for ourselves and yes to feel relaxed with the help of the perfect weather to pamper ourselves. However, it would be better if we pray for our fellowmen that they would have a better and promising life ahead after those days of gloom.
